"Reach out and touch someone." Wasn't that AT&T's tagline a few years ago? Are you and I willing to reach out and bring someone to Mt. Sinai UMC? I'm not talking about strangers. I mean a friend, a neighbor, or a co-worker--someone who knows and trusts you.

St. Luke says in the Acts of the Apostles: "This Jesus, God raised up. And every one of us here is a witness to it." (Acts 2:32 - The Message by Eugene Peterson) Are we ready to share our church with others?

We have a nice church. Let's not keep it a trade secret! Witnessing doesn't mean standing on a corner browbeating people. Witnessing just means sharing about your church from your heart. God has "reached out and touched us" through Jesus Christ. Shouldn't we extend that touch to others?

Karlita Meyer Memorial Vacation Bible School was held July 21st-26th.

Karlita, the late Youth Director at Mt Sinai UMC, was there in spirit as Kristi Grehl directed this year's VBS in her memory. She had done VBS for so many years that Kristi new exactly what had to be done. The VBS was all that Karlita could have desired. Still, there were many tears as many remembered fondly Karlita's faith and trojan efforts on behalf of the kids. Thanks Kristi. Thanks to all who worked in VBS this year. And, thanks, Karlita for your legacy to this church.

You've probably heard of the devotional technique of closing your eyes, opening the Bible, and pointing blindly to a verse. I did that, and this is what God sent: " Answer me, O Lord, out of the goodness of your love; in your great mercy turn to me." (Psalm 69:16) Wow! It could not describe our Lord better. As Christians, we know that God answers our prayers. I can't tell you how many times I have prayed hard without much hope, only to realize later that God helped me in ways I didn't understand at the time. As a pastor, shouldn't I always trust the Lord? Yet, I am human too. "I'm on my own. Nobody is interested in helping me." If you've had those thoughts before realize that that is just your normal human negativity coming out. Have faith. Trust that God will see you through your trials. Jesus told us that he would send a companion- a Comforter- to be with us. Sure enough, God's Holy Spirit is beside us every day of our lives. Tough times will come. Don't doubt that a minute. God will help you with them. Don't doubt that either. The Lord will answer us "out of the goodness of God's love." Thanks be to God.

The first ever Mt. Sinai Fallapalooza was a huge sucess. Around 100 people of all different ages gathered and participated in a wide variety of activities. The inflatable bouncer, pumpkin painting, face painting, hayride, bon-fire, and cornhole tournament were enjoyed by all. The fun and fellowship between church members and the community made the evening fun for all and a huge success.

Uplifting Christian music and singing, live dramas and practical video moments are all a part of what makes our church a special place!

Our pastor presents basic biblical truths in a way that's relevant to today. Our services reflect our belief that attending church should be an enjoyable, uplifting and meaningful experience that encourages you to develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our Beliefs - Who We Are

Our church is a community of believers with Jesus Christ as its head. We seek to love, respect and care for one another as a demonstration of our love for God.

Our outreach is to those who have no church home. Many in our area are disillusioned with religion. They have felt the sting of legalism with its impossible demands. Some have seen hypocrisy. Others have had no religious background and therefore see Christianity as irrelevant. The missing element has been healthy relationships with mature believers in Jesus.
