Weekly Devotional from the Pastor!!!
For the week of September 5, 2010:Can you believe it is already Labor Day weekend? The summer has come and gone so quickly bringing hot, hot temperatures, change in pastoral leadership, and continued ch all enges in discerning our personal journey in Christ. As we journey to this Labor Day Sunday, I invite you think about “your work” here on earth.
Begin by imaging Jesus entering your world … doing your job.
What would be his focus ….his priorities?
How would he treat people?
How would he handle the frustrations of your job?
Where would Jesus see the rewards in your work?
Wouldn’t it be fun to work side by side with our Lord?
Of course, we do!! What a blessing!!! May we never forget
that it is the Lord’s work we are doing.
It is my prayer that you are blessed in the work you are doing. May you find your work rewarding; and may your work make a difference in the world so others see Christ in you.
Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands;
yes, establish the work of our hands. (Psalm 90:17)
Have a blessed work week, Pastor LaJo
